Bone Marrow Whip

Bone marrow whip might seem like an odd choice for your babies first food, but what if I told you it was a nutrient powerhouse! Packed full of iron, vitamin b12 & zinc it contains fat, collagen and protein. A perfect first meat for your baby, bone marrow whip is almost like a butter consistency so has a very low risk of being choked on.

At 6 months babies demands for iron are higher than an adult male and breastmilk and formula are not fully meeting babies needs anymore.

I know early on baby won’t eat a lot of food so I want to make sure anything he does eat is packed full of the good stuff! I also want to take full advantage of a baby who will try anything and not yell yuck in my face as dinner is served. Toddler mums, IYKYK.

This can be served to baby as is or add to purees or use to cook with. Once your whip is made use bones to make a delicious broth.

Bone marrow is not only great for babies but for adults too, and can be added to a variety of dishes. Spread on bread or add a tablespoon to sauces, curries or bolognese for a nutrient dense hit.

I hope you take the plunge and give this super easy recipe a go!
